Ludwig Hupfeld A.G., Leipzig; coin-activated pneumatic orchestrion with piano and three violins, driven by a 230 volt electric motor, in oak case with cloth-backed fretwork panels, rounded doors and carved integral pediment flanked by brass-capped columns, 166 x 119 x 225 cm, excellent restored playing condition, with 90 old and recut music rolls.
Note: A single string (D, A and E) is played on each of the violins, while the other strings resonate. The traditional violin bow is replaced by an octagonal wheel laced with horsehair. The sensitivity and finesse of the rendition are achieved by the speed of the bow, the pressure of the violins on the bow and the artificial fingers. Thus, a number of different types of stroke, including legato, staccato and vibrato, can be represented expressively in mechanical form. To accompany this, forty-four piano notes are played with nuance.

Ludwig Hupfeld A.G., Leipzig; pneumatisches Orchestrion mit Klavier und 3 Geigen, Antrieb mit 230 Volt Elektromotor, jede der Geigen spielt eine Saite (D, A und E) während die weiteren Saiten nur mitklingen, der übliche Geigenbogen ist durch einen mit Pferdehaaren oktogonal bespanntes Rad ersetzt, die Feinheit des Geigenspiels wird durch die Geschwindigkeit des Bogens, das Andrücken der Geigen an den Bogen und die künstlichen Finger erzielt, so können verschieden Stricharten (Legato, Staccato, Vibrato und Weitere) dargestellt werden. Dazu werden als Begleitung 44 Klaviertöne nuanciert gespielt. Für den Betrieb in Gaststätten ist ein Münzeinwurf vorhanden. Eichengehäuse, 166 x 119 x 225 cm. Exzellent restaurierter spielender Zustand, mit 90 alten und neu gestanzten Notenrollen.
