Polyfoto Studio Camera for 48 Photos on a 13 x 18 cm Plate

S/A Polyfoto, Copenhagen. Polyfoto No. 39, for 48 exposures 2 x 2 cm on a 13 x 18 cm plate or sheet film. Dimensions: 66 x 67 x 154 cm. Mahogany construction, a mobile base unit with storage compartments; mounted atop is a swiveling and tilting assembly consisting of two columns that allow the camera (lens center) to be adjusted in height from 97 to 125 cm. The lens (approx. 5 cm) is fixed in a stationary position; adjacent to it rotates a gear wheel with an aperture that simultaneously opens the exposure window and, as the wheel turns, shifts the 13 x 18 cm plate to the next position, ensuring no double exposures occur. Instead of a standard dark slide 39 x 41 cm, the camera back is fitted with a Plexiglas panel, allowing museum visitors to observe the fascinating mechanical action during the 48-shot sequence. Exposure time starts at approximately 1/10 second and can be controlled by the speed of cranking. A truly unique exhibit with great demonstration appeal. If desired, the Plexiglas panel can be replaced with a light-tight cover, enabling visitors to photograph themselves on reversal paper (which can then be developed on-site for them to take home). Enclosed: Two original negatives in sheet and plate and a 24 x 30 cm enlarging.

Mahagoniholz, fahrbahrer Untertisch mit Ablagefächer, darauf ist ein verschwenk- und neigbarer Aufsatz in Form von 2 Säulen, auf denen die Kamera (Mitte der Optik) von 97 bis 125 cm höhenverstellbar ist. Die Optik von etwa 5 cm ist unverstellbar montiert, daneben läuft ein Zahnrad mit einer Öffnung, der sowohl das Belichtungsfenster freigibt, als auch über das Weiterdrehen des Zahnrads den doppelbelichtungsfreien Verschiebungsort für die 13 x 18 cm Platte ermöglicht. Statt eines Schutzschiebers 39 x 41 cm ist die Kamerarückfront fest mit einer Plexiglas-Platte versehen, damit die Museumsbesucher beim Kurbeln die phantastische Mechanik während der 48-Reihenaufnahme sehen können. Belichtungszeit ab etwa 1/10 Sek. je nach Kurbelgeschwindigkeit steuerbar. Ein ganz besonderes Ausstellungsstück mit Vorführeffekt. Wer will, setzt anstatt der Plexi-Scheibe wieder eine Abdichtung ein und läßt die Besucher auf Umkehrpapier (zum Mitnehmen mittels Entwicklungsgerät) sich selber photographieren. Anbei: Zwei Originalnegative in Planfilm und Platte und eine 24 x 30 cm Vergrößerung.
