USSR. No. 7528084 from the Soviet space program for detecting heat radiation from rockets from a distance of 45,000 km in Earth orbit. A catadioptric system with a focal length of 99.26 mm, according to the logbook, consisting of two beryllium mirrors and fluorite lenses. Several such optics were in use in orbit for years; 102 mm long and 100 mm wide, glass clean under point light, image circle 28 mm. Transmission measurements showed suitability from infrared to 320 nanometers in the UV range. Includes the two red caps and the matching logbook with numerous stylized signatures, measurements, certifications, and stamps.
