Weber Unika Orchestrion, c. 1928

Gebrüder Weber, Waldkirch, Black Forest; consists of a piano with expression, a mandolin attachment and a set of 28 wooden violin pipes, suitable for solo performance or accompaniment; in very good and complete condition; later-added top section featuring an illuminated picture depicting a Zeppelin, a balloon and a railway; electrically powered (230V); comes with 8 music rolls. – The instrument comes from a renowned collection and was played regularly until about 5 years ago; minor repairs are required. – The ‘Unika’ model replaced small bands in dance halls and similar venues; its astonishingly authentic sound, solid workmanship and the excellent arrangements by Gustav Bruder made this orchestrion a highly successful model. Although produced in large numbers, only around 30 instruments have survived. Dimensions: 64 x 34 x 99 in.

Gebrüder Weber, Waldkirch, Schwarzwald, Klavier mit Betonung und Mandolineneffekt und 28 Violinpfeifen, für Solospiel oder Begleitung, sehr guter und kompletter Zustand, später ergänzter Aufsatz mit beleuchtetem Bild und Zeppelin, Ballon und Eisenbahn, elektrischer Antrieb (230V), mit 8 Notenrollen. – Das Gerät stammt aus einer renommierten Sammlung und wurde bis vor circa 5 Jahren regelmäßig gespielt, es sind leichte Reparaturen erforderlich. – Die Unika ersetzte kleine Kapellen in Tanzlokalen und ähnlichen Etablissements, der erstaunlich echt wirkende Klang, die solide Verarbeitung und die exzellenten Arrangements von Gustav Bruder machten dieses Orchestrion zu einem Erfolgsmodell. Auch wenn in großer Auflage hergestellt, haben nur circa 30 Instrumente überlebt. Maße 162 x 86 x 220 cm.
