With metal body and mechanism in separate Perspex display case. – Note: John Logie Baird’s Televisor, the very first commercial television set, was designed and manufactured by the Plessey Co. for Baird Television Ltd. from 1928 onwards. It had a spoked 30-line scanning disc designed by Paul Gottlieb Nipkow of Berlin and a screen of approx. 3 x 4 in.
