Cylinder musical movement by Mermod Frères, no. 107659, playing 6 airs accompanied by drum and 3 polychrome Mandarin automata striking 6 optional bells, 76 teeth in two combs (complete), coin-activated crank-wound nickel-plated movement, parachute safety check, automatic melody change, coin mechanism, with “Bébé Eventail” doll automaton by Leopold Lambert, bisque porcelain doll’s head by Jumeau, with fixed blue paperweight eyes, pierced earlobes with earrings, curly blonde mohair wig, hands made of molded material, holding a bouquet of flowers and a lorgnette, in a silk costume with lace trim, matching hat. The doll turns her head and nods, lifts the flowers with her left hand while the other hand lifts the lorgnette. In walnut case with coin compartment, sound frets, electric illumination, pediment with turned finials and embossed plaque of “Musique automate mettez 20 Cts”, wd. 32 x dp. 19 1/3 x ht. 43 1/3 in. (81 x 49 x 110 cm), with crank and cabinet key. – Excellent restored playing condition.

Walzenspielwerk von Mermod Frères, Nr. 107659, 6 Melodien begleitet von 6 abschaltbaren Glocken, gespielt von 3 farbig bemalten Mandarin-Figuren und Trommel, 66 Töne plus 10 Zähne für die Begleitinstrumente im Stahlkamm (komplett), Kurbelaufzug, vernickelte Mechanik, Parachute-Sicherheitseinrichtung, automatischer Melodienwechsel, Münzmechanik, mit Puppenautomat “Bébé Eventail” von Leopold Lambert, Biskuitporzellan-Puppenkopf von Jumeau, mit feststehenden blauen Paperweight-Augen, durchstochenen Ohrläppchen mit Ohrringen, gelockter blonder Mohairperücke, Händen aus Masse, einen Blumenstrauß und eine Lorgnette haltend, in Seidenkostüm mit Spitzenbesatz, passender Hut. Die Puppe dreht ihren Kopf und nickt, hebt mit der linken Hand die Blumen hoch, während die andere Hand die Lorgnette anhebt. Nußbaumgehäuse, Klangöffnungen, elektrische Beleuchtung, Oberteil mit gedrechselten Zierspitzen und geprägter Plakette “Musique automate mettez 20 Cts”, Maße 81 x 49 x 110 cm, mit Kurbel und Gehäuseschlüssel. – Exzellent restaurierter und spielender Zustand.
