Polyorama Panoptique, the large picture viewer for tinted paper day-and-night metamorphic pictures in the format 20 x 14.2 cm, size of the viewer 22 x 31 cm, height 17 cm, green bellows, front in mahagony with framed lens of diameter 4.2 cm, housing with green decorative paper, some minor cracks. With 2 day-and-night images “Le Canal de Canton Chine” (front with an unobtrusive splice) and “Place Trafalgar Londres” and 4 images where the night picture shows a greatly changed motif: “Chemin de Fer,” “Sebastopol et Inkerman,” “Bombardement et Prise de Bomarsund,” and “Constantinople et Balaclava.” These are panels with powerful effects.
