Asahi Opt. Co., Japan. No. 631841, in Seikosha SLV shutter, can only be opened to T. Lens front part is adjustable and engraved with “Correction scale”, “Unit cm” and “Focus starting point”. Glass clean under point light. Comes with both focusing filters, “Focusing attachment 253.7 μm” and “Focusing attachment 365 μm” (locking screw loose), and a filter holder. Handwritten text on the top of the wooden box includes the type, manufacturer, and date (Shigaisen-Yoh-Suisyo-Renzu, Crystal lens for Ultraviolet Rays; Asahi-Kogaku-Kogyo_Kabushiki-Gaisya; Showa 37 Nen Gatsu Sei). For UV use only; according to the consignor, a custom-made lens for the Swedish police. Achromatic correction for 200 to 400 nanometers. One of the first UV lenses ever made in Japan.

Oben auf dem Holzkasten handschriftlich betextet mit Typ, Hersteller und Datum (Shigaisen-Yoh-Suisyo-Renzu, Kristall-Optik für ultraviolette Strahlen; Asahi-Kogaku-Kogyo_Kabushiki-Gaisya; Showa 37 Nen Gatsu Sei). Nur für Verwendung in UV, laut Einlieferer eine Einzelanfertigung für die schwedische Polizei. Achromatische Korrektur für 200 bis 400 Nanometer. Eine der ersten UV-Optiken aus Japan überhaupt.
