Orchestral "Tambour et Timbres, Harmoniphone, Voix Celestes" Musical Box by L'Epée, c. 1880
No. 2126, playing ten airs including "Hymne aux Oiseaux" and selections from the operas "Lucrezia Borgia" by Donizetti, "Les Huguenots" by Meyerbeer and "Mignon" by Thomas, Gamme No. 4722, with 56 teeth in musical and 14 teeth in percussion combs (all complete), 15-note organ, optional drum and six gradu- ated bells with butterfly strikers, compensated governor, tune-sheet and attractively figured veneered case with marquetry motif of nesting hummingbird on the lid, wd. 31 1⁄2 in. (80 cm), cylinder 19 in. (48,5 cm), repaired split on inside lid, movement and case in good restored condition. A large and impressive orchestral musical box with effective interplay of organ percussion.
Early Key-Wind Part-Overture Musical Box by Lecoultre, c. 1840
No. 12503, playing the "Magic Flute" overture on a single revolution and ten other airs two-per-turn, with 108 teeth in comb (complete, one bass tooth neatly repaired), blued-steel comb-washers, brass bedplate and instant stop, in burr-elm case with ebony stringing and hinged endflap, wd. 18 in. (46 cm), cylinder 11 x 3 1/8 in. diameter (28 x 8 cm). With mahogany-handled steel key. A single revolution plays for around 1 minute, 50 seconds. Minor wear on a few projections of great wheel – does not affect performance, movement and case in excellent restored condition.

Nr. 23184, 8 Melodien: "Royal Irish Quadrille" in 5 Teilen und 3 Tanzmelodien, 102 Töne im Stahlkamm (komplett), Kamm geprägt mit "L.B.", Messing- Bodenplatte geprägt mit "B.B. & C." für den Händler Berens, Blumberg & Cie, Sofortstopphebel, Original- Melodienblatt, Obstholzgehäuse, innen rot lasiert, Bandintarsien aus Buchsbaum auf dem Deckel, seitliche Klappe mit handschriftlicher Bedienungsanleitung, Gehäusebreite 51 cm, Walzenbreite 33 cm, mit Stahl- schlüssel. Die Mechanik befindet sich in gut restau- riertem und spielendem Zustand.

No. 23184, playing "Royal Irish Quadrille" in five parts followed by three dance airs, with 102 teeth (complete), comb stamped "L.B.", brass bedplate stamped "B.B. & C." for agent Berens, Blumberg & Cie, instant-stop, tune-sheet, fruitwood case with red interior, boxwood stringing on lid and hinged endflap with manuscript operating instructions in three steps, wd. 20 in. (51 cm), cylinder 13 in. (33 cm). With steel key. Movement in good restored playing condition.

Nr. 12503, mit der Ouvertüre aus der Zauberflöte von Mozart (eine Walzendrehung) und 10 weiteren Melo- dien (jeweils 2 Titel bei einer Walzendrehung), 108 Töne im Stahlkamm (komplett, ein Baßton sauber repa- riert), Unterlegscheiben aus gebläutem Stahl, Messing- Bodenplatte, Sofortstopphebel, Ulmen-Wurzelholz- Gehäuse, Bandintarsien aus Ebenholz, seitliche Klappe, Gehäusebreite 46 cm, Walzenbreite 28 cm, Ø 8 cm. Stahlschlüssel mit Mahagonigriff. Eine Walzenumdre- hung spielt für ca. 1 Minute und 50 Sekunden. Gering- fügiger Verschleiß am großen Zahnrad, keinerlei Beein- trächtigung der Funktion. Ansonsten befinden sich das Gehäuse und das Spielwerk in exzellent restauriertem Zustand.
