Graphoscope with Pictures and Stereo Cards of the Uprising in Paris 1871
1) France (attributed). Large graphoscope made of solid walnut, 30 x 60 x 12 cm, the large viewing lens (diameter 155 mm) can be snapped into the device, after folding it away into the storage compartment for pic- tures, the stereo viewer can be folded out and then has a height of 51 cm. The image stand with focusing screen (for stereo slides) can be moved approx. 34 cm for fo- cusing. (3/3) – 2) 30 collotypes of paintings and draw- ings from c. 1870. – 3) 12 photographs 9 x 16.5 cm, presumably of anthroposophical actors. – 4) 3 cabinet cards: "Assassinat des otages à la prison de la Ro- quette le 24 Mai 1871" (the trigger for the uprising), "Prison des Chantiers à Versailles, le 15 Aout 1871" and "Gouvernement de la defense nationale (4 Septem- bre 1870)". Cards very faded. Important historical documents. – 5) 22 cards 9 x 15 cm by N. Paul phot. (Paris) 236, rue du F. St. Martin. Photos of destroyed Paris. – And: 6) 17 stereo cards 9 x 18 cm "Ruines de Paris (1871)".

Höhe 45 cm, mit ca. 45 Stereo-Dias der Zeit um 1920 in 3 auswechselbaren Magazinen, Rückseite mit Bruchstel- le, ohne Mattglasscheibe.

Case with precious wood, hinged lid with mirror for illuminating paper stereo images, for 50 stereo cards or stereo slides 6.5 x 13 cm, focusing via a rack-and-pinion movement, with 2 brass transport handles, height 17 3⁄4 in., with approx. 45 stereo slides from c. 1920 in 3 interchangeable magazines, a break- age to the back, without frosted glass plate.
