No. 19579, playing six airs accompanied by two combs of 80 teeth in total (complete) and optional central seventeen-note organ for bird whistle, Gamme No. 75, with flat-topped winding lever, compensated governor and 2 ½-in. (6,5 cm) automaton bird with iridescent plumage, articulated head, bone beak, wings, tail and swivelling perch in glazed bower of naturalistic silk foliage, feather ferns and painted holy and ivy leaves, in book-matched burr walnut-veneered case with tulipwood banding, red interior with inlaid garlands around ebonised inner lid, ormolu handles, tune-sheet and silvered plaque engraved "A. Rivenc & Co., Manufacturers, Geneva", width 25 in. (63 cm), cylinder 13 in. (33 cm). Repertoire: "The Carnival of Venice", "The Grand Duchess, Sable Song", "Home Sweet Home", "Faust, Laisse-moi contempler ton visage", "Il Trovatore, Anvil Song" and "John Brown's March". – An exhibition-quality automaton musical box in good restored playing condition!
